At the Geelong Rifle Range, we shoot between 300 to 900 metres on Silver Mountain Electronic targets. We also have a 25 yard zeroing paper target along with a 100m electronic target.
To be a successful shooter, our sport requires training, experience, wind reading skills (which can be especially challenging at Geelong), reloading practices, patience and concentration. Full-bore competitors also score and check score for each other
during competition. These are all things you will be exposed to and shown along the way. The main thing is to give everything a go and enjoy yourself.
There are three main styles of full bore shooting: Target Rifle, F-Class, Sporter Class.
Detailed rules are updated periodically, for the latest rules please go to http://www.nraa.com.au
TARGET RIFLE
The foundation of fullbore shooting, Target Rifle relies on open sights and a sling, demanding focus, precision, and discipline at long range.

F CLASS
A modern evolution of Target Rifle. Using optics, rests, and precision rifles, F-Class pushes long-range accuracy to the highest level of consistency.

SPORTER
Built around hunting-style rifles, Sporter Class combines practicality with precision. Success comes from consistency and accuracy with lighter, more versatile gear.
